Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Studies (EMG)
One of the most important services we offer is electrodiagnostic medicine. Electromyography (EMG) gives your doctor essential information about the health and function of your nerves and muscles.
This procedure, performed in our office, utilizes electrical stimulation of the nerves to record nerve conduction velocity and other parameters. Insertion of a very small needle into various muscles is used to record electrical activity from the muscle. This test is helpful in diagnosing a wide variety of nerve and muscle disorders.
